Integrative counsellor & psychotherapist • In-person (St Albans) and online
About me
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, families and teenagers who are seeking therapy as a path toward healing, clarity, and growth.
My approach is rooted in restoring balance and supporting clients facing anxiety, depression, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), relationship and family issues, bereavement, identity concerns, and both recent and historic abuse. Being multilingual and having lived in diverse cultures, I have a deep understanding of the emotional impact of cultural adjustment, expatriation, and immigration—issues I am particularly passionate about addressing in therapy.
I offer a calm, confidential, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment, where clients are empowered to explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop practical strategies for positive change. At the heart of my integrative approach is the therapeutic relationship itself, which enables me to tailor interventions to each client’s unique needs, drawing from a range of theoretical perspectives.
Therapy can help resolve unresolved experiences, shift unhelpful behaviours, and enhance personal and relational wellbeing. I have particular expertise in working with couples of all backgrounds and orientations, offering a safe space to address challenges and build deeper connection. Sessions are designed to support relationship maintenance, repair, and growth.
I work with teenagers and young adults supporting them through challenges such as bullying, low mood, anxiety, self-harm, and bereavement. I find this work deeply rewarding, often seeing meaningful transformation when the right therapeutic support is in place.
I also work with adults diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), particularly those who receive a diagnosis later in life. I support clients in understanding their neurodivergence, processing the emotional impact of late diagnosis, and developing practical strategies for managing overwhelm, relationships, work, and self-esteem. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, compassionate, and strengths-based, helping clients build self-acceptance, resilience, and a more sustainable way of living.
In addition to my clinical work, I am a qualified supervisor, offering reflective and supportive supervision for both trainee and experienced counsellors.
My practice is based in a quiet, private setting in St Albans, with off-street parking available. I hold Enhanced DBS Clearance, am fully insured, and also offer sessions online via Zoom, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong and effective therapeutic alliance. In certain circumstances, I may also consider home visits.
As a registered member of the BACP, I attend regular clinical supervision and undertake ongoing professional development to ensure the quality and ethical integrity of my work.
